Highlander’s Stuffing

Highlander’s meals are peculiar and flavourful. Is it because of the heights, air, woods or is it the matter of recipes? Well, let’s say what you’ve already known – for some thing we shouldn’t ask why, but simply enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 50 g smoked bacon
  • 250 g ham
  • 150 g dry bread (bread rolls)
  • 100 g green onions
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Vegeta
  • For greasing the mould
  • butter
  • Bread crumbs Podravka

Preparation

  1. 1.
    Combine whisked eggs, Vegeta, pepper, chopped green onions and ham.
  2. 2.
    Dice bacon and one-day-old bread rolls and stir in a mixture with eggs..
  3. 3.
    Grease a round mould (18 cm in diameter) with butter, sprinkle over bread crumbs and pour in prepared mixture with eggs
  4. 4.
    Cover the mould with aluminum foil, put into a larger pan with hot water and bake in an oven at 200oC for 50 minutes.

Serving

Remove highlander’s stuffing from the mould, cool down and cut in slices. Serve with ham, cheese škripavac, horse-radish and green onions.
